She was born April 29, 1939, in Columbus to Lawrence and Louise (Nash) Hilderbrand. She grew up and attended elementary school in Faulkner and was a graduate of Cherokee County High School in Columbus. She lived in Faulkner and California before making her home in Chetopa.
She married Billy Castle in June 1956. They later divorced.
On Feb. 14, 1981, she married Robert “Bud” Willis in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home in Chetopa.
Myrna worked as a bookkeeper in her husband’s ready-mix business and also assisted him in their farming operation.
She was an active member of First Christian Church in Chetopa. She enjoyed working puzzles, attending garage sales and flea markets, watching soap operas and quilting.
Other survivors include three sons, Gary Castle of Kansas City, Kan., Larry Castle of Humboldt and Rick Castle of Chetopa; a daughter, Regina Curnutte of Oswego; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
