She was born on Oct. 25, 1944, in Carthage, Mo., to Cecil and Hazel (Shafer) Botts. She attended school in Independence.
On Dec. 17, 1993, she married Roger Lewis Rinkenberger in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death.
She was a self-employed cosmetologist.
Survivors include her mother, Hazel Shafer of Neodesha; three sons, James Porterfield and Raymond Porterfield, both of Dennis, and Robert Porterfield of Texas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Sonny Johnson of Independence, John Botts, Jimmy Botts and Ronney Botts, all of Neodesha, and David Botts of Louisiana; and three sisters, Sherry Turner of Independence, Glenda Persinger of Sedan and Linda Shafer of Neodesha.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Potts Chapel in Independence. Inurnment will be at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Potts Chapel, with family recieving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Kansas Cancer Center and can be left at the funeral home.
