Parsons police investigated a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon north of Parsons Middle School at 28th and Crawford.
The students at the middle school sheltered in place while the investigation was underway.
All reports to Parsons police indicated the shots were fired into the ground. Bullet casings were found. This shooting is still under investigation.
Parsons police said the alleged victim who was identified by multiple witnesses refused to cooperate with law enforcement and provide information as to who fired the shots or what the altercation was about.
