Labette Health is implementing a new, single electronic health record (EHR) system utilizing MEDITECH Expanse. The project has been planned and prepared since early 2022, culminating in the consolidation of patient records across all Labette Health care settings and integrating physician/provider offices and hospital records seamlessly.
Labette Health currently operates with multiple electronic health record systems in different care settings. The new MEDITECH Expanse system will improve the quality, accuracy and efficiency of patient care at all Labette Health locations as each patient’s health record is securely stored in one centralized record, accessible to the patient’s entire care team, according to a release from Labette Health.
Clinicians will have a clear view of each patient’s medical history from any Labette Health location as information follows patients from the clinics, hospital and specialty clinics. The transition to MEDITECH Expanse, effective spring 2025, brings significant advantages to Labette Health, its clinics and patients. A new, single patient portal will provide patients with access to hospital and clinic information.
