9-11 anniversary
This week we observed the 23rd year anniversary of the 9-11 attacks here in the United States of America. It was an event that opened the eyes of a nation to what many people throughout the world have been living with for quite some time.
The victims were just ordinary citizens going about their daily lives or those brave first responders who gave their lives doing their jobs.
I would like to talk about John 3:16-17 today.
Most people know John 3:16 by heart, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”
God loved each so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins so that we might have eternal life.
I hope each of you knows Jesus and carries him in your hearts always. John 3:17, “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” This verse speaks volumes to me that God wants us to have a personal relationship with him through his son Jesus Christ.
The Father God loves each of his children and wants only good things for them if they only follow the teachings of his son Jesus. Amen.
Your Servant in Christ,
Pastor Claude Shue Faith UMC
