The scholarship committee of Chapter BS, P.E.O., has announced its scholarship recipients for the 2024-25 school year. Aashka Patel, the daughter of Kanak and Aasha Patel and granddaughter of Hasmukh and Parvati Patel, is one of the newest recipients and will receive $600. Aashka is a 2024 graduate of Parsons High School and is attending Labette Community College. Upon completion of her associate’s degree, she will transfer to Kansas University, where she will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She then plans on pursuing a graduate degree in business. While attending Parsons High School, Aashka played volleyball and basketball and she was a member of National Honor Society (NHS). The other recipient for the 2024-25 school year is Isabella Ramsey, the daughter of Mike and Luann Ramsey and granddaughter of Margie Ramsey. She also will receive $600. Isabella is a 2024 graduate of Parsons High School and she is attending Kansas University. She is working toward a bachelor’s degree in biology, and upon completion she will be attending KU Medical School to become a pathologist. While attending Parsons High School, Isabella was co-captain of the cheerleading squad for three years and she also belonged to Spirit Club, Spanish Club, Student Council and National Honor Society (NHS). P.E.O.’s continuing scholarship recipient is Kinsey Baldwin, daughter of Monte and Luann Baldwin. She attends Pittsburg State University. Courtesy photos
