Labette County girls beat Pitt, stay perfect

PITTSBURG — Staying perfect on the season, the Labette County Grizzlies girls defeated the Pittsburg Purple Dragons, 58-41, on Friday night.

Landry O’Brien put on a show, pouring in a career- high 34 points en route to the SEK League victory.

Jayden Davis added a dozen points for the Grizzlies.

“This game was chippy,” Labette County head coach Brianna Volmer said. “We struggled hitting two-foot shots. Landry had a great shooting night and really played well. We cranked up the defense so that was a plus. Hats off to Pittsburg for executing their gameplan.”

With the win, Labette County improved to 8-0 overall.
