Susan Marie (Lamm) Schell, 73, of Parsons passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at her home.
She was born April 28, 1951, in Parsons, a daughter of Darold and Irene (Maupin) Lamm. She grew up and attended school in Parsons.
For several years, she worked as a seamstress at Fred Ronald Manufacturing and The Broderick Co. In 1991, Susan moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she worked as a seamstress for Levi’s. She returned to Parsons in 2007 to care for her mother.
In 1970, Susan married Kenneth Wood. The couple later divorced. In 1996, she married Jack Schell. The couple later divorced.
For many years, Susan had two pet birds, Billy Bob and Grover, that she loved dearly and called her kids.
Her survivors include her sister, Janice Kay Elliott; her niece, Kimberley Davis and her husband, Steve, and their children, Shelby Norris and her husband, Darian, and their children, Avery and Micah, and Matthew Davis and his son, Josiah, all of Hutto, Texas; a sister-in-law, Lana Pontious of Parsons; two cousins, Danny Hylton and Debi Lane of Skiatook, Oklahoma; and very good friend, Rhonda Cramer, of Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her father, Darold Lamm; her mother, Irene Harris; two nieces, Melissa Kay Joseph and Melissa Lynn Pontious; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Joseph.
A graveside service will be at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
