Discover the art of quilting at Oswego Historical Museum

OSWEGO — The Oswego Historical Society Museum and Genealogy Center, 805 Barker Drive, has on display quilts from the 1920s and 1930s and more contemporary creations in February.

Quilting is a rich tradition that tells the stories of families, communities and eras. Each quilt on display, a testament to the creativity and skill of its maker, includes stunning patterns, intricate hand stitching and a legacy of craftsmanship.

Each quilt is accompanied by a brief overview and story detailing its pattern, history and the artist who created it, researched and prepared by museum curator Amy Reynolds. These insights provide visitors with an opportunity to connect with the artistry and cultural significance of each piece.

The museum is open from 1 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday with a special extended open day on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Oswego Historical Society Museum and Genealogy Center offers an immersive look into local history, featuring interactive exhibits, genealogy resources and rotating special displays.
