MOUND VALLEY — Diane M. Evans, 41, of Mound Valley passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Diane Marie Veenstra was born on June 28, 1983, to Daniel Roundtree and Judy Ann (Martin) Veenstra Jr. in Parsons. She grew up in Mound Valley and attended Mound Valley Grade School and Labette County High School.
For a time, Diane worked at Power Flame and Grandview. Her greatest job was caring for her family. She loved spending time with her family and making a comfortable home for them. Watching movies, reading and doing word puzzles were her favorite pastimes.
Diane married Christopher James Evans. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Theron Austin Kebert and his girlfriend, Macy, of Salina; a daughter, Kiersten Kebert of Mound Valley; two stepsons, Payton Evans and Kylor Evans, both of Parsons; a granddaughter, Alora Kebert; her parents, Daniel and Judy Veenstra Jr. of Mound Valley; two brothers, Danny Veenstra and his wife, Christina, of Mound Valley and Mark Veenstra and his wife, Crystal, of Parsons; her in-laws, James and Toni Evans of Parsons; a brother-in-law, Dillon Evans and his wife, Isabella, of Erie; four sisters-in-law, Dawn Lemaster and her husband, Adam, of Mound Valley, Lacey Evans of Parsons, Seirra Nichols and her husband, Nathan, of Oklahoma and Breanna Evans of Parsons; a special cousin, Brandon Veenstra; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
