GIRARD — Betty L. Hanson, 95, of Girard went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg.
Betty was born on March 27, 1929, to Ralph and Gentry Wallingford. She lived in Parsons for over 50 years and worked for Sevart Heating and Cooling for over 20 years as office manager. Later in her life, she began playing the piano and singing with the residents at all the nursing homes in Parsons and St. Paul. There she was known as “The Sing-a-Long Lady.”
Betty is survived by her four children, Brenda Newberry and her husband, Jack, of Girard, Pam Autry and her husband, Leon, of Lake Wales, Florida, Cindy McMahon and her husband, Tom, of Edna and Randy Wolf and his wife, Connie, of Augusta; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
