Courthouse to close Tuesday
OSWEGO — The Labette County Courthouse, Labette County Health Department and non-essential county services will be closed on Tuesday because of the expected winter storm. Significant snow accumulations are possible. A decision on expanding these closures to Wednesday will be made on Tuesday afternoon.
Benefit breakfast
ST. PAUL — Knights of Columbus Council 760 – St. Paul-Walnut-Erie — is hosting a benefit breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at St. Francis Parish Hall, St. Paul.
The menu includes sausage, eggs, hotcakes, biscuits and gravy, and an opportunity for a friendly round-table visit. Cost is a free-will donation and proceeds will be directed to Jill Coomes who had a dangerous reaction to chemotherapy for colon cancer.
WIB conference is April 17
COFFEYVILLE – The Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce is planning its second Women in Business Conference for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 17 at the Windsor Place Event Center in Coffeyville. This event will feature guest speakers, panel discussions and workshops designed to support women in business and leadership roles.
Chamber President & CEO, Candi Westbrook, expressed her excitement about the upcoming event, stating, “We want to recognize women of influence in our region and inspire confi dence in a way that connects women in our region both professionally and personally.”
Attendees can expect a full day of insightful sessions covering a variety of topics relevant to women in today’s business landscape. In addition to thought-provoking presentations, the conference will provide ample opportunities for networking and collaboration, allowing participants to connect with fellow professionals, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships.
The keynote speaker is Tonya Telesco. She is the co-founder of Telesco Leadership Group, president of By His Word Ministries and a member of the teaching faculty for the John Maxwell Team, where she is responsible for leading and equipping over 50,000 coaches, speakers and trainers worldwide.
