S chools KU announces honor rolls
LAWRENCE — More than 8,900 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2024 semester.
The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and in the schools of Architecture & Design, Business, Education & Human Sciences, Engineering, Health Professions, Journalism & Mass Communications, Music, Nursing, Pharmacy, Professional Studies and Social Welfare.
Honor roll criteria vary among the university’s academic units. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.
Fall 2024 honorees below include students whose honor roll status was conferred before Jan. 31. Not all students opt to have their names published.

Local students complete degrees at Wichita State
WICHITA — More than 1,240 students completed a total of 1,378 degrees and certificates at Wichita State University in fall 2024.
The breakdown of degrees and certificates granted includes 908 degrees and certificates for 845 undergraduate students and 470 degrees and certificates for 397 graduate students.
And of those earning a bachelor’s degree, 47 were summa cum laude, 223 were magna cum laude, and 123 were cum laude.
Undergraduate students who have attained a grade point average of 3.9 out of a possible 4.0 received the summa cum laude award; those with an average of 3.55 received the magna cum laude award; and those with an average of 3.25 received the cum laude.

WICHITA — Wichita State University has announced the names of 3,865 students who were on the WSU dean’s honor roll for fall 2024.
To be included on the dean’s honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
