OSWEGO — Oswego USD 504 hosted its second bullseye and 3-D archery tournament on Saturday.

The school, with elementary, middle school and high school participants, won 18 medals and five trophies in the event.

The elementary team shot its best score of the year.

“We were extremely proud of our kids,” archery coach Neal Cruse said.

He was thankful for all the help offered by district staff and community members, including parents, for putting the tournament on.

“We had a big turnout to help set up and break down the shooting ranges. They also helped run the concession stand, gate and bow raffle on top of helping set up.”

The Oswego elementary team scored 2,714 as a team in bullseye, the highest score of the season, finishing first place. The middle school team scored 3,113, good enough for first place.

The elementary team scored 1,138 in 3-D, the highest score of the year and good enough for first place. The middle school team scored 1,606, finishing first. The high school team scored 1,433 and finished third.

The top three teams received trophies and the top three individuals in their division received a medal in the bullseye and 3-D competitions.

The medalists in bullseye:

Elizabeth Dalton scored 274 and placed first in middle school girls and first in eighth grade girls.

Matthias Shaw scored 274 and placed first in middle school boys and first in eighth grade boys.

Chloe Rhodenbaugh scored 265, placing third in both middle school and eighth grade girls.

Axel Santana placed third in middle school boys, second in eighth grade boys.

Amelia Head scored 258 and placed second in sixth-grade girls.

Ava Edmond scored 253 and placed first in sixth grade girls.

Odalys Santana scored 251 and placed first in both elementary and sixth grade girls.

Maicee Wimp scored 250 and placed third in sixth grade girls.

Sydney Huebner scored 246 and placed second in seventh grade girls.

Xitlally Santana scored 239 (PR) and placed second in elementary girls and first in fourthgrade girls.

Jazlyn Folk scored 239 (PR) and placed third in elementary girls and second in fifth grade girls.

Adelynn Queen scored 237 (PR) and placed second in fourth grade girls.

Samuel Byrd scored 230 (PR) and placed second in sixth grade boys.

Skyler Neblett scored 227 and placed third in both elementary boys and sixth grade boys.

Oakley Gatton scored 223 and placed first in fourth grade boys.
