Skip Smith exhibit opened until March 14
The Hendershot Gallery at Labette Community College is hosting an exhibit of the works of local artist Skip Smith. The exhibit runs through March 14. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Parsons Livestock Auction
On Wednesday, the Parsons Livestock Auction sold 1,710 cattle.
Choice cows 149-162, canners-cutters 135-149, shelly cows 134 and down, bred cows up to $2,825, pairs up to $3,550; choice bulls 175-190, lower grades 174 and down.
Steers: Up to 400 pounds, 300-461; 400-500, 317-477; 500600, 335-395; 600-700, 248-351; 700-800, 245-295.50; 800 and over, 200-262.
