Construction is to begin on April 1. The safety of the participants is important and was a major factor in making this decision, the Iron Horse committee posted on social media.
Haury Hall update
ALTAMONT — Labette County High School posted on social media recently that last week’s basketball games were the last to be held in Haury Hall because of an auxiliary gym should be in place next season. The hall has hosted basketball games, performances and other events in its 84 years.
Constructed in 1941, Haury Hall has served many purposes, housing departments like science, English, athletics, band and choir. While this chapter of Haury Hall’s history may be ending, the building will remain part of LCHS for years to come, according to the post.
