OSWEGO — Mary Christine Sheddrick went on to be with her Savior our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Oswego Health and Rehabilitation in Oswego.
Chris was born on Dec. 22, 1940, in Parsons to Harlan and Roberta Cox. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1958 and Parsons Junior College in 1960. Chris married Ron Sheddrick on Nov. 19, 1961, in Parsons.
Chris worked at First National Bank in Oswego, working her way up from secretary to teller, and at Community National Bank and Trust in Chanute, working as branch manager.
Chris and Ron returned to Oswego in 2007 to be close to their children and grandchildren.
Chris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oswego. She is survived by her daughter, Keren Lowenstein and wife Kathi Murphy; a son, Kevin Sheddrick and wife Rochelle Sheddrick; grandchildren, Drake, Madison and Ryann Sheddrick; a great-granddaughter, Taylan Sheddrick; and a sister, Patsy Davolt.
Chris was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buddy and Minnie Williams; her parents, Harlan and Roberta Cox; a brother, Robert (Bob) Cox; and a nephew, Robert (Bobby) Cox.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, at First Baptist Church in Oswego. Burial will follow at Oswego Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday night at Derfelt Funeral Home in Oswego. A memorial has been established at First Baptist Church in Oswego.
