Youth wrestlers, some of whom will be competing in the state championships in Topeka this weekend, were cheered on Wednesday afternoon at Garfield School by staff and students. Wrestlers pictured are Mack Barr-Miller (with cast), Rylan Lahey and Koleman Shultz, who compete in the 8 and under division. Mack won’t be competing at state because of an injury, but his teammates wanted to include him in the celebration. Other state qualifiers from Parsons are Rhythm Pierce, 8U, and Carter Ritchie, Brody King and Ryatt Lahey, all 12U. Quinlyn Page won a state championship at 49 pounds in the 6U division recently.
