WICHITA — Jerry Allen Whitt, 52, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, in Wichita.
He was born on April 16, 1972, to James “Jim” and Karolyn Sue (Pool) Whitt and he was raised in Parsons. Jerry graduated from Parsons High School in 1990.
He moved to Wichita after high school and back to Parsons to work for his father’s shoe store, James Shoes. In 2012, he moved back to Wichita to work in the aircraft industry and was presently working at Spirit Aero Systems.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, watching football, telling stories and, most of all, spending time with his family.
He married Carla Wininger on April 25, 1992, in Parsons. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Bryce Whitt (Emily) of Parsons, Logan Whitt (Sierra) of Parsons and Lane Whitt of Altamont; four grandchildren, Max, Ava, Austin and Hadlee; a brother, David Woods; and several aunts, uncles and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Misty Whitt; and a brother, Brandon Whitt.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Wall Family Center, 2605 Main St., in Parsons.
The Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
