EVESHAM, England — Gail Wesley Rankins, 74, of Evesham, England, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024.
He was born in Altamont on April 25, 1950, to Eugene and Imogene (Raymond) Rankins. He graduated from Labette County High School in 1969. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in England. While in England, he married Fran Langston. They later divorced.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Rankins of Evesham, England; his daughter, Jacqueline Betteridge (Paul) of Pershore, England; one grandson, George Langston (Madeline) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three brothers, Gary Rankins (Vickie) of Altamont, Alfred Rankins of rural Altamont and Greg Rankins (Angie) of Delaware, Oklahoma; two sisters, Charolette Irvine of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Cindy Vanderford (Ronnie) of Altamont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylon Rankins; and his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A family service is planned on Oct. 22 in Evesham, England.
