Larry J. March

CHERRYVALE — Larry J. March, 83, of Cherryvale passed away at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Morningstar Care Home in Fredonia.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1941, to Ted LeRoy and Genevieve Elnora (Blackburn) March. He was raised in Cherryvale and Dennis and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1960. He worked multiple jobs after high school but worked 40 years at Dayton Superior in Parsons until retirement. He also raised cattle on the side, which was his favorite hobby.

On Dec. 19, 1975, he married Jean Marie March of Cherryvale. She preceded him in death in 2016.

Survivors include daughters, Sheila Jean (March) Eccles of Cherryvale, Becky Ann (March) Warren and her husband, Marty, of Cherryvale; a son, Kenneth LeRoy March Jr. his wife, Angela (Jarman) March, of Cherryvale; nine grandchildren, Robert Eccles of Parsons, Timothy Eccles and his wife, Crystal, of Cherryvale, Marla (Eccles) Jones and her husband, Mike, of Caney, Rachael (Warren) Graddy and her husband, Ryan, of Sperry, Oklahoma, Victoria (Warren) Magnett and her husband, Tom, of Wichita, David Warren and his wife, Monica, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Cody March and his wife, Jacee, of Vera, Oklahoma, Megan (March) O’Neal and her husband, Cody, of Cherryvale, and Kylie (March) Deay and her husband, Jacob, of Wellsville; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl March and his wife, Kim Anh, of Wichita; and a sister, Delores March of Parsons.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ted (1999) and Genevieve (2017); his brother, Kenneth LeRoy March Sr. (1973); a sister, Wanda G. (March) Gough (2021); his great-grandson, Kaleb Nolan Warren (2022); and son-in-law, Mark L. Eccles (2022).

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service follows the funeral at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Harper Road, Dennis.
