COFFEYVILLE — Bonnie S. Beye, known by most as “Nan”, 81, of Coffeyville passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1943, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Clarence and Lora (Nipp) Baker.
She married Glenn D. Beye on Jan. 5, 1964, in Eureka, and they shared a loving and devoted partnership until Glenn’s passing in 1992.
Bonnie dedicated her life to her family, working tirelessly to provide a warm and loving home for her children. She was a homemaker for many years and also worked for a short time at the Townsman Inn Motel in Coffeyville. Bonnie had a passion for crocheting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that were treasured by her family and friends. She lived in Edna before moving to Coffeyville and was known by most as Nan. Bonnie’s family was always at the center of her world.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Lora Beye of Edna and Terresa (Brian) Lahey of Galesburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lora Baker; her husband, Glenn Beye; her son, Gary Beye; her sisters, Yvonne Harrison, Lois Stevens, Arcella Matlock and Marie Stephens; and a brother, Sonny Baker.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at North Edna Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna.
