INDEPENDENCE — Racing at the Independence Invitational, Labette County’s girls won the team standings.
In the girls’ race, Labette County’s Anna Cantrell won with a time of 20:46.
Landry O’Brien finished third (22:28) for Labette County, Aubrie Meyer sixth (23:08), Mikaela Carson 15th (24:44), Isabel Clevenger 20th (25:27) and Kaylee Eberhart 21st (26:22).
Labette County won the team standings with 29 points.
In the boys’ race, Parsons’ Colten Carson finished fifth with a time of 17:25.
As for Labette County, freshman Truett Froebe placed ninth (18:06), Jacob Haraughty 12th (18:30), Colten Weil 22nd (19:08), Cooper Newby 24th (19:23), Jaden Geier 31st (19:45), Andrew Sykes 32nd (19:48) and Lukas Elliott 33rd (20:03).
