ALTAMONT — Winning their second straight game and third of the year, the Labette County Grizzlies have shifted their trajectory after a 13-6 victory over the Coffeyville Golden Tornado in Friday’s homecoming tilt.
Labette County running back Jamaal Jackson was once again the star, amassing 175 yards and a touchdown over 32 carries.
Aaron Wyrick completed 6-of-11 passes for 100 yards, a touchdown and a pick for the Grizzlies.
Kegan Bates caught two balls for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Roper Whittley amassed 11 tackles, including four for a loss and a sack for Labette County. Bradley Black added a sack and two tackles.
Nolan Nash and Deontae Fields each recorded sacks for the Grizzlies.
Labette County is now 3-3 overall and 2-0 in SEK League play.
