ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Gaye K. Fisk, 87, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away the morning of Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at The Cottages of Field Pointe in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Gaye Katherine Keller was born on April 19, 1937, to Eivie E. and Laura Katherine (Fisher) Keller in Rowan County, North Carolina. She grew up and graduated high school in Wilmington, North Carolina. She graduated from high school in 1955.
On July 22, 1955, Gaye married Roy H. Fisk. Gaye was a homemaker. When she wasn’t busy with her children, she enjoyed painting. She was a self-taught artist.
She was a member of Edna First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She later attended the First Baptist Church of Altamont.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Gayla) Fisk of Gower, Missouri, Michael “Mike” Fisk of Parsons, Gina (Dan) Frazier of Boonville, Missouri, and Lisa (Paul) Lundquist of Lisle, Illinois; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Buddy Keller; and two sisters, Marie Batch and Remona Gilmore.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the First Baptist Church in Altamont. Burial will follow at North Edna Cemetery in Edna. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons.
