WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran last week announced the members of his 2024 Service Academy Selection Board. The board will review applications and interview candidates who are applying for admission to the U.S. Service Academies.
Applicants will be interviewed by the selection board on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Fort Hays State University in the Robbins Center. The U.S. Service Academies include the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
“Selecting Kansas students for our service academies is one of my greatest privileges as a U.S. Senator, and I am grateful to the dedicated individuals serving on the Service Academy Board who assist in this process,” said Sen. Moran.
“The young men and women applying from Kansas show not only academic excellence but also a commitment to serving our nation. I appreciate the board’s investment of time in these students and in our country’s future and look forward to receiving their recommendations.”
Among those selected for the board is Jennifer Mathes of Bartlett, Labette County Farm Bureau Board member; parent of two sons in U.S. Service Academies.
